The word “doula” is a centuries old greek term meaning, “women’s servant”.

Many moons ago, before hospitals or birthing centers, when women exclusively gave birth at home, they would tend to be surrounded by midwives, assistants, and female family members who would aide them while in labor & postpartum. A beautiful village of women supporting each other.

Fast forward to current day, a doula is a professional birth companion that provides emotional, physical, spiritual, and informational support, during the entirety of your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

I am an advocate for you and your baby. My goal is to empower you with knowledge, preparation, and physical support and to be a continuous source of comfort.

I utilize empathetic emotional support, physical touch, acupressure, aromatherapy, the rebozo, and strategic positioning assistance to help you achieve your most fulfilling birth and postpartum experience.

I serve the Bloomington Normal area and surrounding cities of Central Illinois and will travel up to 1 hour away from Bloomington.
